The mission of Co-operatives East is to promote and enable co-operatives and co-operation in the East of England – that is, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Who we are and what we do
- We bring people together at quarterly meetings and other events to enable people to share, to learn, to engage and to develop activity
- We provide information and an opportunity for people to share information on all things co-operative through our electronic newsletter and at events (ours and other people’s)
- We work collaboratively with members and others to further our aims of promoting and enabling co-operatives – so if you are holding an event, running an initiative or setting up a co-operative venture then do get in touch if you think that we could help or get involved
- We seek to promote co-ops and co-operation so if you want us to promote what you are doing or have ideas for making more people aware of co-ops then get in touch
Co-operatives East is an unincorporated association. You can download the constitution from the Useful Links (Documents Repository) page. The Management Committee meet quarterly and members of Co-operatives East are always welcome to attend meetings as observers and, if they wish, to share news of any successes or challenges they are experiencing.
